Vainius works and wins in the Consulting team at PwC. Having started as an intern just a year and a half ago, Vainius' talent, skills and contribution to the success of the team have not gone unnoticed - he has rapidly risen the career ladder and we are now pleased to call him a Senior Consultant!
Vainius, how did you choose Consulting and what do you enjoy most about your work?
I became more familiar with Consulting during my studies in Rotterdam. At university, workshops were given by former and current consultants - it was their experiences and stories that encouraged me to try my hand at the field.
As usual for Consulting, at the beginning of my journey with PwC, I had the opportunity to get involved in projects addressing a wide range of issues and problems in very different areas. It is this wide range of areas that is the most interesting but at the same time the most rewarding and challenging part of the job, which helps me to develop my professional strengths and interests.
This rapid career progression can certainly be called a success story. How do you manage to balance your professional and personal life? What goals have you set for 2023?
By providing the highest quality services and delivering complex projects at a national level, colleagues set the highest standards for each other. Although this adds to the workload, I always feel supported in the team - workload sharing is a common practice in our team, we share the joys as well as the sorrows. This is why Mondays are free from angry "grumbling", and there is time to relax.
This year's professional goals include participating in international PwC Forensics training, contributing to winning new and exciting projects and growing the Consulting team. In my personal life, I would like to go back to rock climbing, and not neglect activities such as video game nights with friends, watching good movies and supporting Zalgiris Kaunas in the most important matches.
