Monika, who has been a part of the PwC Lithuania team for more than 5 years says that the constant opportunity to learn is one of the advantages of working at PwC. Although colleagues in the PwC network of firms regularly share their best practices and experiences virtually, Monika took the opportunity to see the work in PwC's Brussels office with her own eyes.
Now approaching the end of the 3-month secondment abroad, Monika is happy to have worked within a 2,000-employee team. Here, she had the opportunity to contribute to several projects and get to know the specifics of how colleagues from PwC Belgium approach different issues.
Monika says that PwC's STEP employee exchange program allowed her to "try out" not only work at a different PwC office but also life in another country. Belgium left a positive impression on her - Monika visited multiple Belgian cities and tried many restaurants. Even within 3 months, she managed to establish a warm contact not only with colleagues from Brussels, but also with other people who came there with PwC's STEP program from countries such as Cyprus, Italy, and Austria.
Monika hopes to see at least some European Christmas markets, as she is counting the last weeks of her secondment and will be celebrating the holidays in Lithuania. Monika, we look forward to your return!
