Hi from Aurimas

Aurimas, a consultant in PwC Legal, started his journey with PwC when he was a student. After a successful completion of his internship, he remained with the company as a legal assistant. After a while, he tried his hand at another workplace, but soon returned to PwC and is currently working in the field of mergers and acquisitions (M&A). We talked with Aurimas about his work experience, remote work and future plans.

Tell us about your journey at PwC

After completing my internship, I worked as a legal assistant for a year, and then I left to look for new challenges in another workplace. A few months later, I received a message from my former manager inviting me back. I really wanted to work in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), so I jumped at the chance and am currently working on commercial and contract law assignments.

What made you come back?

Although returning to a former workplace is still somewhat stigmatized, I think it is worth returning to a place that makes you feel fulfilled. I came back because of the interesting field of work, the dynamic projects and the daily opportunity to gain experience. Friendly team and the remote work option also contributed to the decision - I have been a part of the Vilnius team for almost 2 years, although I live in Kaunas.

How is it going with remote work?

Excellent! I usually come to the office at least once a week because I want to chat with my colleagues. I think PwC has adapted well to remote work, so I never feel disconnected from the team. My trips between Kaunas and Vilnius are productive, as I use this time to learn Spanish.

What are your professional goals?
I want to become a lawyer & I am planning further studies to deepen my knowledge in the field.

What would you be if you weren't working in law?

If I hadn't connected my life with law, I could be a historian, politician, archaeologist, or astrophysicist - I am interested in many different fields, I have many hobbies. For example, I have attended ice hockey practices, played bowling in an amateur league, I’m very fond of snowboarding, and often ride a motorcycle.
